Chinmaya Seva Centre Singapore, registered in 1996, is affiliated to the global Chinmaya Mission which is a non-profit organization. It is dedicated to individuals from all backgrounds, disseminating the knowledge enshrined in the original scriptural texts of India.
H.H Swami Chinmayananda, who blazed a trail across India and the world, revitalizing the study of the ancient Vedic texts and making their elusive and highly subtle principles accessible to the common man, spearheaded the Mission. He conducted Singapore’s first Geeta Gyaana Yagna in 1967. His vision continues to be realized by a legacy of highly trained, dynamic spiritual teachers.
Under the guidance of the present spiritual head Swami Tejomayananda, the Chinmaya Mission spans over 250 centers worldwide, encompassing 75 schools, 8 colleges, many temples, ashrams and research institutes and multifarious social, cultural, educational, religious and spiritual activities and projects, including women’s upliftment programmes.
Here in Singapore, we offer a number of spiritual and personal development classes for all ages, working to fulfill the Mission’s motto: “To give maximum happiness to the maximum number for the maximum time’’.
